Arad

The city of Arad is located in the western part of Romania, in the county with the same name, Arad, and stretches along the Mureș River. Connected to Western Europe by rail and road, it has one of the first railroad stations that will be reached first when entering romania by train.

In the heart of the city is the “Trajan’s Bridge”, which once formed the border between provinces, countries and empires where the Ottoman Empire met with the Habsburg Empire, the Principality of Transylvania with Hungary and Banat.

The “City of Palaces” also has a number of palaces, such as the Palace of Administration, the Palace of Culture and the Neuman Palace. There are also several churches of different religions and cultures. The Lunca Mureşului Nature Park, which stretches from the city to the Hungarian border along the Mureș River, as well as numerous lakes and beaches such as Lake Ghioroc or Ghioroc Beach, provide a relaxing atmosphere.
